Removal

1. Position the mirror housing as shown in the image

2. Apply protective tape on the outer bottom edge of the mirror housing

3. Push the upper part of the glass, so there is space between the bottom of the glass and the mirror housing

4. Using a pry tool detach the two bottom clips (insert and twist)

5. Proceed to disconnect the upper two clips

6. Disconnect the 2 wires for heating/defrost

7. If applicable also disconnect BSM connector

Installation

Note before beginning the installation:

If the ambient temperature is less than 70F, warm up the 4 plastic clips on the back of the spotter mirror using a heat gun/ hair dryer. That way the clips will engage with much less pressure.

1. Reconnect the two wires for heat/defrost- they are not polarity specific)

* Extension heat/defrost wires are provided to aid the installation, but not required

2. If applicable reconnect the BSM connector

3. Align the 4 clips of the spotter mirror onto the mirror mount- the white plastic piece inside the mirror housing

4. Carefully press the mirror until all 4 clips are engaged. This will also eliminate any possible vibration issues

* Ideally try to engage the top 2 clips first and then the bottom 2, or vice versa
** This is the step where you don’t want to rush and try to force the mirror into place

IMPORTANT: To prevent injury- wear gloves and safety glasses during removal and installation
